Delphine and Mango are sweet companion house rabbits. They are bonded girls that have lived peacefully with a small dog and different cats of all ages, as well as other bunnies. They have been free roam bunnies; although they don’t love being picked up they interact with and have been a dear part of their previous family. They are beautiful, healthy bunnies that will love to bounce and bink again in a bigger space.

Notes from their current foster home:

Delphine is a very curious, bold bunny and she loves to explore, run around, binky, and free range. She knows how to get up on furniture and is frequently on top of her boxes when in her pen. She is very intelligent and recognizes sounds and words, and needs lots of mental stimulation/run time or she becomes destructive and digs or tears up the flooring in her pen. She is extremely food motivated and loves fresh lettuce, herbs, treats, and pellets. It is easy to “call” her by making noises with the treat bag or jar. We always give her pellets in toys or puzzles and she has daily run time. Her litterbox habits are not great but she usually only poops outside her litterbox.

Mango is a quiet, sweet bunny that occasionally has some digestive issues, so I limit her treats to one per day OR LESS (1 treat broken into 3-4 pieces and fed throughout the day, and never a pure fruit treat, just treats that have hay), and one large piece of lettuce/herbs equivalent, and about a hefty teaspoon of pellets (Delphine usually eats about 1 tablespoon of pellets per day, she is more assertive so she just naturally gets more than Mango). Mango gets matted around her back “skirt” by her legs and on either side of her tail, and needs to be trimmed or shaved when you notice it is hindering her movement.

I really hope that these two bunnies will find a very good free range home, because they are super sweet and friendly and would be really sad cooped up all day. Delphine especially loves to explore and will look into and around and under anything! Her favorite spot is on my shoe bench in my front window, and she will sit there for the good part of an hour just looking out the window, then run around, then come back. It’s super cute.
