Nova is a beautiful Dutch bunny, and already one of the sweetest bunnies we have at the rescue. She just wants to be pet all the time! For the past three months before coming to the rescue, Nova was living at her Grandma’s house. Grandma has worked hard to establish a calm, reliable routine with Nova. While there, she became fond of the resident border collie and would snuggle next to him, which tells us she would LOVE a bunny companion!
She is excellent with her litter box and has not made messes in the house at all. She will chew paper if the opportunity arises; she nibbled the binding off a whole shelf of old books. (What can we say, she just has good taste!)
She allows being picked up and knows what to expect at each part of the day, and that seems to be a good tactic with her. She is ordinarily in her pen only overnight and has the run of the house all day. When people of all numbers and ages are visiting, she hops among them without a care.
We would say she benefits from routines and affection. She was originally the pet of a child who held her a lot, and a recent visitor, new to her, picked her up and carried her around with no problems. However, she loves a calmer environment and would love to find a home to call her own.
